A resolution of the political situation and an attempt to create a working coalition in parliament is expected in the coming hours.
„The signals we have been receiving in the last few days are that we are close to an agreement - a minority cabinet“, commented on „This Sunday“ on bTV political analyst Dimitar Ganev.
He pointed out that GERB, BSP and ITN do not have a majority in parliament, they have a total of 107 MPs, and the support of a fourth player must be sought.
According to Dimitar Ganev, the most likely scenario is the "golden finger" to be in the person of Ahmed Dogan's DPS.
„This is the worse option than the first, namely a coalition government with „Democratic Bulgaria“. It is better for all those who support this government to be more closely involved with it, to have representatives in the executive branch“, the political scientist pointed out.
„Obviously, we will move towards a minority cabinet that will try. It will have a certain comfort at least for the first 6-7 months. People are fed up with elections. From today's perspective, it seems very difficult to last a full term. Without a doubt, both GERB, BSP, and ITN will pay a certain price and no one will want to go to elections again. There is an unwritten law in Bulgaria – "If you are in power, your rating drops," commented Dimitar Ganev.
According to him, the chances of a cabinet are already more than 50%. And "DPS-New Beginning" will be in an advantageous role of a firm opposition.
