"I voted against the entry of "BSP-United Left" into a coalition with GERB and I was very clear. My fear is that this could be the beginning of the end not only of the left unity, but of the left in Bulgaria". This was commented on "The Day Begins with Georgi Lyubenov" by the leader of "Stand Up, BG" Maya Manolova.
In her words, the left is facing the danger of "a sweet death with a kiss and four ministries". Manolova explained that "Stand Up, BG" should hold a national forum to decide whether to leave the BSP-OL coalition. If it were up to her, however, she would leave the coalition immediately.
"I have no place in such a government. There is no way that I could end up in the offices of those against whom the people protested, there is no way that I could be in the same room with those who beat the protesting youth".
Manolova will set seven red lines before the leadership of the grand coalition, which, according to her, should have found a place in the agreement.
"These are the commitments for fair taxation, which includes zero VAT on bread and flour, a non-taxable minimum, taxation of excess profits of corporations, anti-monopoly legislation".
