With an oath in the Capitol rotunda, Donald Trump returned triumphantly to the White House. In the company of the richest people in the world - Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg, the 47th American president promised that this would be the beginning of a "Golden Era". He began to fulfill his campaign promises with a bang - the fight against illegal immigration and aggressive customs policy. Trump's first moves were revealed by Dr. Borislav Tsekov - chairman of the Bulgarian "Trump Society" in the studio of "Offensive with Lyubo Ognyanov" on NOVA NEWS.
"The US state of emergency in energy makes it easier for the industry to obtain permits for oil and gas extraction. This will lead to a boom, because America is extremely rich in these resources. This will affect oil prices and weaken the position of Russia, which lives off of this," explained Tsekov. He explained that in America, states of emergency are already routine and gave an example that there are at least 30. "They give the president the power to dispose of certain state finances and structures. One of them has been in effect since the September 11, 2001 attacks and is renewed every year," explained Tsekov.
In the series of decrees, Trump suspended the aid that the United States grants for three months. This will also affect Bulgaria, said Borislav Tsekov. "US foreign aid will be provided only to the extent that the goals correspond to the policy of the US President," explained the lawyer. He gave an example that when the official policy is to eradicate gender ideology and stop all federal funding for it, there is no way that foreign aid can help such initiatives.
Tsekov also commented on Trump's diplomatic moves, as well as some of the extremely symbolic steps. He gave an example of his attire at the opening of the restored Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
Regarding the negotiations for lasting peace in Ukraine, Tsekov believes that the negotiations will not be held without Ukraine. “Russia will not achieve its goals, it will achieve something, but there are realities of the negotiations, realities on the front line”, Tsekov said.
Regarding the requested control over Greenland, Tsekov believes that the key there is the Greenland Independence Movement. “There is a hypothesis that a referendum will be scheduled with the next elections. There is a strong independence movement there, 83 percent of the population has nothing to do with Europe. Separately, there is a huge scandal - forced secret sterilization of over 4 thousand Inuit women from a population of 60 thousand by the Danish authorities, added Tsekov.
