A weak earthquake with a magnitude of 2.4 on the Richter scale was registered in the territory of Bulgaria today, March 07, 2025 (Friday) at 11:24 a.m.
The epicenter of the earthquake was 4.1 km northwest of the city of Kardzhali and 202 km from the city of Sofia.
It struck at a shallow depth of 15.2 km below the earth's surface, according to data from the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
The earthquake was not reported to have been felt by people.
