Workers at the Bulgarian National Radio, the Bulgarian National Television and the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency are going on a national protest on May 15th. They will block the intersection in front of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", there will also be actions in other cities of the country.

The demand is for a minimum wage increase of 15 percent, and for this purpose an additional 14 million leva is needed, announced the vice president of the Confederation of Bulgarian Trade Unions Todor Kapitanov.

"We at the National Radio are asking for additional funds from the Ministry of Finance – at least 5 million leva, for BNT – 6 million, for BTA - 3 million leva. It is not only about increasing the salaries of journalists, it is also about editors, cameramen, directors, technicians, singers, orchestra members. We also put forward a demand, because work in the media is not divided into work in public media and work in private media, we put forward a demand for a minimum of 15% increase in all salaries in private media as well", said Todor Kapitanov.

The action is organized by the structures of the Confederation of Bulgarian Trade Unions and the Confederation of Labor – – – – "Podkrepa"; in public media. Improvised pilot shows "100 percent awake and poor", "First of all with low incomes", "The show of the expired salary on the channel" will be realized.

During the protest, the trade unionists will demand a meeting with the Minister of Finance Temenuzhka Petkova.
