Veselin Todorov, who talks about unregulated practices and a cartel in Hristo Kovachki's holding, explained that he decided to do it for two reasons.
„One is that I wanted to disappear from the „Orion“ holding, he pointed out and added that it is normal for Hristo Kovachki to hold the line that such a holding does not exist.
„The other line that he holds is that there are very few percentages. It is very important to understand that he has been harassing me for a year – they sent people looking for me. When I was leaving his holding, he asked me to sign the famous promissory notes – for 650,000 leva. I refused and he hasn't stopped harassing me since. That's one reason," Veselin Todorov told bTV.
“I want to tell you that he said “What idiot would sign such a thing?“. That is, he called all his managers idiots. That happened“, he noted.
“The second reason I'm doing it is because of the public interest. Someone has to tell the truth. Someone has to tell the truth that in 12 cities, heating energy is much more expensive than it should be. In 12 cities, households pay between 50 and 100 leva more because he offers expensive natural gas at the entrance and sells cheap electricity at the exit. In this way, all profits go to his buffer companies“, which are connected to Cypriot and British offshore companies, Seychelles, Bahamas and so on“, commented Veselin Todorov.
He brought schemes from the investigation with how all the offshore companies are connected.
“I know which companies he has in Bulgaria and I can very easily track who owns the capital in the commercial register“, the witness noted.
“It turns out that 11 power plants are managed by a village near London – by villagers who want to work with heat and electricity in Bulgaria. Very strange in my opinion, don't you think“, pointed out Vesselin Todorov.
He noted that Hristo Kovachki had been stamping with unicorn stamps.
Nikolai Staykov from the Anti-Corruption Fund showed the order to change the monthly stamps.
„Officially from the management from the email „Uncle Trevichko 112“ to the „Bobovdol“ TPP – from Fred Flintstone from Tom the Cat“, commented the two of them with Vesselin Todorov.
„This is an internal document, of which we have hundreds, if not thousands. We have been receiving documents for months. Obviously, something is going on in the „Orion“ holding and its fictional British, Seychelles and I don't know what other owners. In my opinion, things are falling apart directly. This is a virtual structure without a foundation. Information has been leaking to us for months. Vesselin Todorov was the only person who decided to speak openly, but we have spoken to more people who confirmed all this. For a week now, we have been inundated with signals and people who want to see us“, commented Nikolay Staykov.
“This morning we spoke with a greenhouse cucumber and tomato producer who is about to close his business and leave dozens of people unemployed, because because of the twists and turns that were explained to us – "how some related companies in an obviously non-working and fictional gas market artificially increase the price so that it can enter the thermal power plants in question, which are owned by some fictional British owners, at a higher price," he said.
“I was in an office in London, I rang the bell, a man answered and told me that he was the keeper of an address with thousands of registered companies,“ he added.
