The Social Committee in Parliament will hear competent institutions after the revelations in recent days about the inhumane conditions in the homes for the elderly in Yagoda, Govedartsi and Maglizh.
The scheme is the same everywhere. The homes are unlicensed and instead of social services, they offer rooms for rent. However, they accommodate people who are forced to live in horrific conditions, defenseless, malnourished and often tied up. All institutions that carried out the inspections committed to finding a way to eradicate the vicious practice.
Yesterday, the court remanded in custody the six detainees after the revelations about the humiliating conditions in which the residents of the two homes in the village of Yagoda lived.
