Desislava Ivancheva has been pardoned by Vice President Iliana Yotova and is being released from prison in Sliven, reported "Sega" and "Slivenpress". This development comes after the courts refused to grant her conditional early release. Yotova's decree is for a pardon with the remainder of the sentence for corruption of the former district mayor of "Mladost".
On Sunday, in an interview with Nova TV, the vice president refused to announce what she would do with Ivancheva. "I may pardon her, but I may also do the opposite", said Yotova.
Today, Bilyana Petrova, who was sentenced along with Ivancheva and released early due to serious health conditions, announced on Facebook that her suspended sentence had expired.
