Mom, I'm going home. These were the first words of the former district mayor of "Mladost" Desislava Ivancheva, who was currently serving a 6-year sentence for accepting a bribe. She was pardoned by Vice President Iliyana Yotova.
„Around 13:00-14:00 I found out about the decree. Thank you to Mrs. Yotova“, she said.
„My little son, Valentin Alexander, who I miss very much, is 3 years old. 7 months, he was an 11-month-old baby when I left him, and my mother, who is an incredible woman, I am looking forward to going to see them and kiss them“, Ivancheva told journalists.
“I am still in shock. From a 6-year sentence - 10 months, this is a very long period. We have been filing applications every year, apparently now the time has come. I am grateful to Yotova. True, 10 months are left, but to live in this horror – this is not at all small. For now, I am family, I will see family and friends. I will seek my rights, of course“, she added.
