A minibus, full of eggs and with a Ruse license plate, crashed on the "Hemus" highway this afternoon. The vehicle flew off the roadway and fell into a ravine between Eleshnitsa and the Yana station junction while driving in the direction of Sofia.
According to eyewitnesses who stopped to provide assistance, the driver explained that the front right tire of the minibus had burst, which is why he lost control of the steering. The first people to respond to the rescue were a businessman from Vratsa and two other drivers who went down into the ravine and helped the man get out of the crushed vehicle, BulNews reported.
The driver of the minibus told rescuers that he felt fine and did not need an emergency medical team to arrive.
Traffic towards the capital is not affected, as the minibus is still in the ravine by the road. Specialized equipment is expected to arrive at the site to pull the vehicle. It is possible that traffic will be temporarily disrupted during this operation.
