The People's Representative from GERB-SDF Hristo Gadzhev wonders why the "Spartan" aircraft are not participating in extinguishing the fires, given that the country has paid for the acquisition of the Guardian fire-fighting system with precisely such aircraft.

On his Facebook profile, he states that the Air Force and the Presidency offer an economical solution for extinguishing fires, which includes the purchase of three MAFFS II systems (and the aircraft attached to it) for about half a billion leva. According to him, at the same time, the question of why we are not using the fire extinguishing system that we have had for years is not raised.
Gajev asks if using the Guardian system is expensive, why was it acquired at all. According to him, the flight crew is also not trained to use the system. According to him, it could have been quite useful over the past three years.
The MP indicated that he would also refer these questions to the Ministry of Defense. Gadjev explains that the Romanian Air Force, with identical aircraft and an identical system, has been extinguishing fires annually since 2017.
