On the border with the Republic of Turkey, traffic is intense at the exit for passenger cars at the Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint (BCP). Traffic is also intense at the entrance for passenger cars at the Kalotina border checkpoint at the border with the Republic of Serbia. Information on border traffic is current as of 6:00 a.m., the General Directorate of the Border Police announced.
A complete reconstruction of the checkpoint is underway at the Stanke Lisickovo border checkpoint at the border with the Republic of North Macedonia and crossing is taking place on a limited number of routes. Traffic is normal at the remaining border checkpoints, BTA specified.
On the border with Romania, traffic is normal at all border checkpoints. Major repairs are being carried out on the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge near Ruse, which is why a temporary traffic organization has been introduced. On the border with Greece, on the Rudozem-Xanthi route, there are construction activities on the road on the Greek side. The Greek authorities have placed signs indicating that the terrain is a construction site and entry to the site is not allowed.
Only passenger cars and minibuses up to 3.5 tons are allowed through the border crossings in the Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad regions.
