Siyana's father - Nikolay Popov shared on his Facebook profile that he will donate to disadvantaged children the entire amount of the insurance of the driver who took his child's life.
"Our message. My family and I should receive about 1.2 million leva in compensation from the insurance of the driver who took Siyana's life. This money will not make us happy… It will not bring our child back.
But it can make someone else happy — someone who is fighting for their life, someone for whom restored health is the biggest dream. That way, we will be happy too.
The entire amount received from the insurance will be donated to disadvantaged children — children who need treatment, support and hope.
Children for whom these funds can bring at least a little joy and comfort. Siyana died while helping another person. I will continue her work. I believe that if she has another life, she will be happy, knowing that she is helping even after her death.
I appeal to the insurance company to pay the amount due. We have been waiting for a long time. This will be a sign of empathy and responsibility. If this happens, I will publicly announce how the funds were spent, presenting all the bank documents. I hope that together we will be able to return at least one child's smile."
