Five men were injured in an accident on the Zavet - Brestovene road in Razgrad region, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.
A 55-year-old driver of a jeep from the Silistra village of Staro Selo, driving in the direction of Zavet, lost control of the vehicle and overturned on a roof outside the roadway. Four other people were riding in the car - an 18-year-old boy and three men aged 58, 21 and 49.
All passengers and the driver were taken to the Razgrad hospital. After examination, it was found that the youngest had a fractured ulna, the 49-year-old had a fractured nasal bones, the 58-year-old had broken ribs and a concussion, and the 21-year-old had a concussion.
The driver was tested for alcohol and drugs. The first was negative, but the drug test returned a positive result for amphetamine.
The man provided blood for chemical analysis. He was admitted to the surgical ward under observation.
