A brown bear and her two cubs came down in the area of the “Suchurum“ waterfall, near the “Levski“ hydroelectric power plant building, at around 8:00 a.m., according to video surveillance cameras, according to the website of the Karlovo municipality.
In connection with the increased cases of brown bears in the territory of Karlovo and the apparently increased population of the species, the “Ecology“ department in the municipality recommends that people be especially cautious when walking in the forest fund and pay attention to their surroundings.
Efforts should be made to ensure that tourists are noticeable and make noise - by talking loudly, listening to louder music or even by using a bell. All of these means would send a signal to the bear where the person is and it could move out of its way in a timely manner.
Experts advise against using booby traps or bombs under any circumstances - they can have the opposite effect, startle the animal and cause it to react aggressively.

Do not approach it, because shortening the distance is a prerequisite for accidents;

Do not demonstrate your presence;
