„I will not analyze either the leadership of the Ministry of Interior or its media team, but I will speak as a parent. There is no doubt from the recording a car that is moving at high speed in the inter-block space. There are 3-4 young people in it, who took their parents' car, who think they are immortal. These are the same young people, figuratively speaking, who weeks ago drove into a bus and killed a doctor. In Razgrad a month ago they crashed into a cafe and killed three people. As a parent, I wanted to take their keys and stop them from moving. After all, there were minors in the car whose parents did not know where they were.“
This was stated by Kiril Dobrev, deputy chairman of the parliamentary group of “BSP-United Left“, on bTV air regarding the case of the police chief in Ruse, quoted by novini.bg.
“When we attack institutions, statehood collapses. Figuratively speaking, the policeman is the same one who threw young people from a height of 200 meters a week ago. When we have police violence, we condemn the Ministry of Interior and want the minister to stay. When there is violence against an employee of the Ministry of Interior, we also want the minister to resign. Why are you wearing a hat, why are you without a hat. We have arrogant young people, we have a person who dared to make a remark to them, and we have four in custody – two are already free, and one is taking his life“, he emphasized.
According to him, the case is being used for political purposes and is warming up the society for the vote of no confidence submitted today.
„The BSP has lost nearly 80% of its electorate in recent years. It is difficult for me to be a revolutionary these days, but I am trying to impose new people in Bulgarian politics. I am proud that people like Galin Durev, Gabriel, Bilyana are part of our group and we can leave the BSP to them. I would not say that the BSP is a “New Beginning”. We participate in the government so that there is some normality.“
When asked about the support of Delyan Peevski's party for the government, he emphasized: „Undoubtedly, the important decisions are made with the help of the MRF - A new beginning, but never before has there been any pretension. The decisions are made by the three parties. The majorities are floating, the goal is important - to introduce the euro and for Bulgaria to feel like a full member of the European democratic community.“
Dobrev called for not „overexposure” the problem with the Bulgarian pensioner and his handling of the euro: “He is quite progressive, he will cope.”
About the upcoming presidential elections in our country, the deputy chairman of the PG of the BSP-OL said: “BSP will have a candidate for president. Yanaki Stoilov, Iliyana Yotova, Krum Zarkov are the names of people who will be nominated. I know which people are liked for such a position. The president will be the one who knows how to bring together, not the one who divides. Therefore, loud shouting, confrontation and the battle with the institutions are not fundamental to winning the elections. Business and people want peace. Rumen Radev is at the end of his second political term, from then on we will see what his career will be like. I participated in two of his campaigns, I will not say a bad word about the presidential institution.”
It is categorical that if Yotova wants to run, she will be the next Bulgarian president.
Regarding the visit of Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Zafirov to the military parade in China, Dobrev defended his party member: “Historical facts – Bulgaria is the second country with a ruling party, the Bulgarian Communist Party, to recognize China. Georgi Dimitrov is an ideologist of Chinese socialism or communism. So the BSP's relations with China date back a long time. Why can Ursula von der Leyen take a picture with the Chinese president, but Zafirov cannot?“
