The new production base of BTL Industries in Plovdiv is located on over 29 acres. The investment is worth 100 million leva. This is also the largest investor in the Plovdiv region. The company currently employs 710 employees, and with the opening of the new base, 500 new people will be hired.

The new factory is located within walking distance of the center of Plovdiv and has innovative automated and robotic production and warehouse systems, modern office spaces and its own park with recreation areas.

Specially built bike paths also lead to the production base, providing easy access to work for employees. The building is designed with high energy efficiency in mind, using automated lighting and ventilation control systems, light tunnels, underground rainwater tanks for irrigation systems, as well as innovative heating and cooling solutions through thermal energy storage. A 1MW photovoltaic park is also planned on the roof of the building.

„BTL Industries' new production base is an investment that began in 2021, at a time of testing for the sustainability of the national economy and industrial sectors around the world, when the Czech Republic fully trusted Bulgaria, its skilled workforce, stable economy and potential to become a leader in high-tech industrial production in the entire Plovdiv region. I dare say that this factory is actually a bridge – a bridge between the Czech Republic and Bulgaria, a bridge between specialists and investors, a bridge between high technologies and human efforts, said Miroslav Toman, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Bulgaria.

Czech companies have long established themselves in the world as a symbol of high quality, services and investments. Therefore, it is particularly gratifying that this investment is in a highly humanitarian area that contributes to improving the quality of life of millions of citizens not only in Bulgaria, but also all over the world. The investment represents a model into which we want the entire Bulgarian economy to become - a model of an export-oriented economy with high added value, with innovations that drive the entire production process and with higher competitiveness,“ said President Rumen Radev, who was at the official opening.
