A 19-year-old, detained under investigation for the theft of 5,000 leva in Asenovgrad, escaped from the medical office of the detention center.
During the examination, the doctor determined that the young man's health was not worrisome, despite his complaints of abdominal pain, and he should be returned to his cell. Suddenly, he attacked the police officer accompanying him, injured him, and managed to escape outside the building during the scuffle, reports BNR.
The uniformed officer followed him, firing a warning shot into the air with his service pistol. After a short chase, in which the patrols on duty also joined, the fugitive was captured.
