Under the leadership of the District Prosecutor's Office - Montana, an investigation is underway into pre-trial proceedings for a crime under Art. 115, in conjunction with Art. 18, para. 1 of the Criminal Code - attempted murder.
At around 07:00 on 27.07.2025 in the village of Lehchevo, Montana region, 46-year-old G.V. was shot in the arm and abdomen with a firearm. The victim was transported to a hospital. After medical interventions, his life is out of danger.
According to initial data, the attempted murder was committed by 48-year-old H.V. The same was found by police officers with a gunshot wound to the head at another address in the village. A homemade firearm was found next to the body. Traces of a fire with significant material damage were found on the property.
A duty task force conducted inspections of the crime scenes in the case. Shells and hunting cartridges, pellets, and recordings from video surveillance cameras were seized. Witnesses were questioned.
A check shows that H.V. has a criminal record and has been convicted of possessing a firearm without a permit and driving a vehicle after consuming alcohol. A domestic violence protection order was issued against him, issued in a civil case, for domestic violence committed by him against A.G.
The case continues under the supervision of the prosecutor's office.
