During a routine inspection under the Forestry Act and the Hunting and Game Conservation Act in the land of the village of Tserkva, employees of the State Hunting Farm – Balchik, caught a thief with a large amount of copper cables and electric motors from the "Obrochishte" mine loaded into the car and with their actions contributed to the detection and prevention of the crime.
The Regional Forestry Directorate – Varna, as well as representatives of “Bull Hunting“ – also participated in the detention operation in the person of Eng. Dimitar Todorov, head of the forestry section, chief forest inspector Kosyo Daskalov and Hristiyan Stiliyanov, security guard at “Bull Hunting“.
The offender was detained until the arrival of the Ministry of Interior authorities.
According to official information from the police on August 25 at around 16:25 in the village of Tsarkva, Dobrich region, forest officers noticed a parked “Volkswagen“ car next to the fence of “Mina Obrochishte“. A signal was filed on tel. 112 and police teams were sent to the scene.
The police found a 51-year-old man on site who was taking electrical wires and metal elements out of the site through a hole in the fence. He was detained for up to 24 hours, and the car and the incriminating items were seized.
In the course of the subsequent actions, a 66-year-old man was also detained - a security guard at the site. The work of documenting the criminal activity continues. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.
