Solemn finale of the national tour "Free, freer, Dimitar" in Kuklen - 1

The national tour of the project "Free, freer, Dimitar" ended with an exciting meeting between artists and the audience in the town of Kuklen - an event that for months brought people together around the living culture, memory and inspiring spirit of the actor, director and teacher Dimitar Elenov.

The final evening became a celebration of the culture and spirituality of the local community. The mayor of the Kuklen municipality, Maria Belcheva, showed warm hospitality and a special attitude towards the event, welcoming the team and the audience and emphasizing the importance of such initiatives for the cultural life of small settlements.

The stage brought together exceptional artists - the great Bulgarian actress Svetlana Yancheva, actor Anthony Penev, who is gaining more and more greater popularity among the television audience with their participation in the series “Faith, Hope and Love“, the young Sofia Teodor - presenter on the Bulgarian National Radio and the director Rozita Elenova. Their presence turned the evening into a special meeting between generations in the Bulgarian acting art.

The audience in Kuklen had the opportunity to watch the documentary “Free, freer, Dimitar“, created in co-production with BNT, which tells about the free spirit and creative path of Dimitar Elenov - a person who left a mark on the Bulgarian theater and culture. After the screening, the artists presented the book of memories, which gave the evening a strong emotional charge.

The meeting continued in an informal atmosphere, in which the audience had the opportunity to personally talk to the artists, share impressions and ask questions. It is these direct meetings between artists and the audience that are the basis of the project's mission – to bring back lively conversation and cultural dialogue in communities.

The national tour aimed to make culture more accessible and to draw attention to small towns, where community centers continue to be important spiritual centers. In the spirit of Dimitar Elenov's mission to revive cultural life outside of big cities, the project managed to bring people together around the values of art, memory and free thought.

The finale in Kuklen became a worthy and emotional conclusion to a journey across the country – a journey that proved that when culture reaches people, it creates real communities and leaves lasting traces.

The project “Free, freer, Dimitar“ is being implemented with the financial support of the European Union through the NextGenerationEU instrument, under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, within the framework of the procedure “Presentation to the Bulgarian public of contemporary Bulgarian productions from the cultural and creative sectors industries“.
