The next research mission "From the source of Bulgaria" took choreographer Alexander Trendafilov and dancers from the capital's folk dance club "From the source" to the Ruse village of Nikolovo, BNR reports.
A few days ago, the square in front of the community center in the village of Nikolovo, Ruse, became an arena for the meeting of hurtsois from two villages - the hosts from Nikolovo and their friends from Staro Selo with their guests from Sofia, who are looking for authentic customs, dances, songs and games. Hospitality cannot fail to be expressed with dishes - local and delicious. They are presented by Seniha Stoyanova from the community center in Nikolovo.
Choreographer Alexander Trendafilov is the initiator of these tours through unknown corners of the country and the hosts welcomed him with "Welcome!".
And the locals were waiting for him with authentic costumes - ornate and colorful.
The people of Staro Selo, near Tutrakan, were proud to present their costumes, dances and games. Svetla Koeva tells about them.
The true wealth is folklore, but the presentation was even more valuable because of the elements in the costumes of Staro Selo residents. Yonka Alexandrova herself showed the belt, which has been passed down in her family for generations.
To make this folklore seminar truly valuable, the scientific part was assigned to the doctor of choreography Ventsislav Nedelchev, who spoke about the hurtsoi.
Thanks to this meeting, the closed hurtsoi met, exchanged contacts, as is done in the 21st century, and planned how they would welcome the next guests.
