The former Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson made a vulgar comment about her then-19-year-old daughter, Princess Eugenie, in an email to Jeffrey Epstein, writes People.
In an email from March 2010, Epstein asked Ferguson about a possible trip to New York, to which she responded with a rude remark about her daughter. At the time, Princess Eugenie was 19 years old and celebrating her birthday with her then-boyfriend. The email exchange took place after Epstein had already been convicted and imprisoned for a sex crime against a minor.
The documents also contain other messages in which Ferguson used familiar and flattering tones towards Epstein, including suggestions that he "marry" her. A representative for Ferguson declined to comment, and Buckingham Palace did not respond to requests for comment.
The revelations have once again drawn attention to the British royal family's ties to Epstein. Ferguson's ex-husband Prince Andrew also appears in the declassified files and was stripped of his royal titles amid renewed accusations and public pressure. He has denied any wrongdoing.
The correspondence is part of more than three million files declassified on January 30 in connection with investigations into the late financier and convicted sex offender.
Jeffrey Epstein died in 2019 in a New York prison while awaiting trial on charges of trafficking and sexual exploitation of minors.
