FAKTI.BG publishes opinions with a wide range of perspectives to encourage constructive debates.

The data contained in the interviews of mothers of children from the "lama"'s entourage, especially in the second one with Ms. Shekerova and Ms. Benatova, lead to the conclusion that the Petrohan group bears all the marks of a dangerous religious sect. Its activity has nothing to do with freedom of religion and falls under international law and constitutional restrictions on the right to religion.

This was warned on "Facebook" Assoc. Prof. Dr. Borislav Tsekov.

The sinister criminal aspects (murder, suicide, assaults on children, illegal and self-governing activities in the mountains, etc.) are only one side of this case, which has yet to be proven within the framework of the criminal proceedings.

However, the other aspect is no less important.

It has already been seen in an undeniable way that a number of public and political figures were involved in this dangerous religious sect or its individual members through sponsorship, administrative and political assistance, friendly relations or public advocacy. This raises reasonable doubts about their integrity, to which they owe answers to the public (as long as there are independent journalists and citizens to ask them questions).

Especially with political figures, all this raises the question not only of whether they knew about the perversions and dangerous practices,

but also of whether their political activity and management decisions were influenced in a certain way by the ideology of the dangerous religious sect from the "Petrohan" hut.

This requires very careful public screening of their past, present and future political activity. This is because dangerous religious sects have no place in the politics and governance of the state.
