Nikola Tsolov set eighth and 16th fastest time on the third and final day of Formula 2 testing in Abu Dhabi. The Bulgarian Campos Racing driver set his best lap of 1:37.466 minutes on the 5.281-kilometer track, where he also won his first podium a week ago.
Tsolov achieved his record time in the morning session, as he did the day before. The Bulgarian remained 0.313 seconds behind the leader Alexander Dunn, and at times was runner-up to the Rodin Motorsport driver.
Tsolov's time dropped in the afternoon session, when he recorded a best lap of 1:41.137, but this time on lap 57 of the track. During the second practice session, the Bulgarian and the other Formula 2 drivers opted for significantly longer stints to simulate the racing conditions for next year.
Today's practice was the official end of the year in Formula 2. The 2026 season starts in Melbourne on March 6-8.
