Inter Miami announced that it has signed a new contract with striker Luis Suarez until the end of the 2026 season in MLS, Topsport reported.
The 38-year-old player's previous contract expired at the end of last season.
In 2025, Suarez played 50 games in all competitions, in which he scored 17 goals and made 17 assists.
In total, the Uruguayan has scored 42 goals - the second highest score in the club's history - and has given 30 assists in 87 games for Inter Miami in all competitions since 2024.
It was previously reported that the 2026 season will be the player's last with the American club.
Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski could continue his career in MLS.
According to BBC Sport, Chicago Fire have held successful negotiations with the Pole. He is open to a transfer and his salary is not expected to be an issue.
The club sees the signing of Lewandowski as a strategic move, as Chicago is home to the largest Polish community in the United States. The management has placed the striker on its "discovery list", meaning he has priority transfer rights - other MLS teams will not be able to sign him without paying compensation.
Teams from Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom are also reportedly interested in Lewandowski. The Pole's contract with Barcelona expires in the summer of 2026.
