World champion with Germany Sami Khedira opened up about the Bulgarian football legend Krasimir Balakov. The former Real Madrid player did this to local financier Kiril Evtimov.
The Burgas native attended the "Allianz Arena" championship match between Bayern Munich and Stuttgart. The Bavarians won 4:2 and in theory became champions for a record 35th time.

“Balakov is a football icon in Stuttgart. He left an unforgettable mark on the club. Personally, I have repeatedly enjoyed his playmaking skills and absorbed his every move with and without the ball. It's a pity that I was too young then and didn't have the opportunity to play with him“, commented to Evtimov the 39-year-old Khedira, who is a youth player of the “Swabians“ and played for them in the period 2006-2010.
The relationship between Krasimir Balakov and Sami Khedira is built on the basis of their common “Swabian“ past and high status in German football. After all, the two played together in 2015 - in a charity match organized by Sami at the Waldau stadium. Balakov and Khedira were also selected in Stuttgart's team of the century, alongside Guido Buchwald and Jurgen Klinsmann.

After the match in Munich, Evtimov managed to briefly meet the rising star of the “Reds“ Lennart Karl and the goal machine Harry Kane, to whom he again gave a branded bag with native souvenirs.
