Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga moved to Sevilla on loan for one season, reported Sportal.
The player underwent medical examinations last week, and today the transfer was officially announced. There is a clause in the contract according to which the Spanish club has the option to buy the player for 12 million euros. If Sevilla take advantage of this and sign a player, it will activate another clause, according to which Arsenal will receive 25% of Lokonga's next transfer.
The midfielder was keen to play in Spain, which gave the Andalusians an edge over others interested in him, including Fiorentina. Last season Lokonga played on loan at Luton but was dogged by injuries and made just 19 appearances.
