Former footballer Rio Ferdinand was not happy after England's 1:2 loss to Spain at the Euro 2024 final in Germany, Topsport reported.
Coach Gareth Southgate lost another final, as he did three years ago to Italy, and Ferdinand believes that the main reason for this is the coach's approach.
"If you're going to play a conservative game with so much potential and talent, you have to win." The coach chooses the team, this is his style and you have to win.
"But these players are great at their clubs, while at the European Championship they looked terrible," Ferdinand said.
Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho congratulated the Spanish national team for the European Championship title in Germany. Late last night at the final in Berlin, the Iberians dramatically beat England 2:1.
