Robert Lewandowski and Rafinha scored twice as Barcelona romped to an emphatic 5-1 win against Villarreal, continuing their excellent run in the new season in the Spanish football league.
The Catalans are first with six wins in six games, during which the team has scored a total of 22 goals, an average of 3.66 per match, and has conceded just five. For Villarreal, this was the first defeat, with which the "yellow submarine" remains in fifth place.
Barca opened with a goal from Lewandowski, assisted by Pablo Torre in the 20th minute. The Polish striker scored again in the 35th minute and Torre scored himself after an hour of play at Villarreal. Lewandowski missed a penalty in the 66th minute, but then Rafinha was on target twice and that was enough for a 5-1 win.
Ayose Perez was accurate for Villarreal, who scored for 1:2 shortly after Lewandowski's second goal.
