The Bulgarian ensemble won the gold in the all-around at the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Cup, which is being held for the first time in Burgas, BTA reports.
The competitors of Kristina Ilieva and Zhanina Ivanova performed excellently in the compositions with five hoops and with five pairs of clubs and deservedly topped the ranking of both apparatuses.
Raya Bozhilova, Yoana Moteva, Anania Dimitrova, Gabriela Traykova, Ivayla Velkovska and Elena Hristova reached the gold with a total of 50,700 points, after receiving 25,950 points for their performance with five hoops (difficulty 10,900, performance 7,200 and artistry 7,850), and for that with five pairs of clubs they were rated with 24.750 points (difficulty 9.700, execution 7.300 and artistry 7.750).
The Bulgarian ensemble qualified for both finals tomorrow with the highest scores in both routines.
The silver medals went to the gymnasts from Israel with an asset of 49.700 (25.700 hoops and 24.000 clubs), and the bronze went to the beauties from Azerbaijan with 44.000 points (23.500 hoops and 20.500 clubs).
So far, Bulgaria has eight medals from the European Cup - six gold and two silver.
