Julio Velasquez: I will not comment on Alex Kolev - 1

Levski coach Julio Velasquez refused to comment on whether the team's central striker Alexander Kolev has been sent to train with the second team of the "blues". He expressed satisfaction with the diligence of all the players he has worked with so far. This happened after the victory in the control against Spartak (Pleven), BTA reported.

"As I have always said, in control matches the result is not the most important thing. But I am pleased with the dynamics of the team. I saw interesting things that we are training. I am very pleased with the effort of the players from the first day, and this also applies to the players from the academy. Each match is a separate story. In every aspect we are looking for growth. I am happy with everyone's behavior and the positive atmosphere," said the Spaniard.

"I am pleased with all the players - both Rildo and Radi Kirilov. I will not comment on the situation with Alex Kolev, if there is a comment, it will be the club's. I approach it with respect, but someone from the management will comment," he specified about the situation with the national team.

"Kelian is injured, Christian and Makun came later - we are missing players in the center of defense. Turdin is a player who copes well with any task you assign him. He has a lot of training as a central defender. Today he didn't have much to do with the ball, but I liked the moments when we had the ball and those when it wasn't with us.", he said of the Slovak.

"There is a lot of time until the transfer window closes. The fact that I have almost the same squad makes it easier for us. There is a good balance between the more experienced and the young. It is normal to have new recruits, but it depends on many things whether someone will leave. My opinion about last season is very positive. You all know me by now - I set my goals day by day, week by week. We have to be extremely competitive", concluded Julio Velasquez.

The vice-champion Levski started the controls with a bang, defeating the second division Spartak (Pleven) with 5:1 at the City Stadium in Pravets. The goals for Julio Velasquez's team were scored by Everton Bala from the penalty spot, Mustafa Sangare and Javad El Jemili before the break, as well as Patrik Mislovic and the new signing Rildo Filho in the second half. For the team from Pleven, Viktor Ivanov was accurate with a header in the second half.
