Five second-leg matches from the second preliminary round of the Champions League were played last night, sportal.bg reported. A total of 17 goals were scored in them, and in all pairs the favorites advanced. Kairat, Dynamo (Kiev), FC Copenhagen, Slovan (Bratislava) and Red Star secured a place in the next phase.

Kazakhstan's champion Kairat defeated KuPS 3:0 and eliminated the team from Finland, which had won the first match 2:0. 16-year-old Dastan Satpaev became a hero for the hosts. The youngster scored a goal and provided an assist. The match in Almaty was refereed by Radoslav Gidzhenov.

Dynamo (Kyiv) welcomed Hamrun Spartans to the Polish giants Lublin after a 3-0 victory in Malta and once again defeated their modest opponent with the same result. Even before the break, the Ukrainian giants took a solid lead with goals from Vladislav Vanat ((28') and Volodymyr Brazhko (35'). Taras Mihavko put the finishing touch in the 82nd minute.

FC Copenhagen also took their place in the second leg against Kosovo's Drita. The Danes won 1-0 and are moving forward with a 3-0 aggregate score. Andreas Cornelius scored a goal in the 42nd minute, while the hosts were left with a man down midway through the first half due to Liridon Balaj's red card. FC Copenhagen's next opponent will almost certainly be Sweden's Malmö FF.

Red Star defeated Lincoln Red Imps from Gibraltar 5-1. Four of the goals were scored before the break, scored by Aleksandar Kataj, Mirko Ivanić, Bruno Duarte and Milson. The guests returned one goal and missed a penalty before Cherif Ndiaye scored the final goal. Marko Arnautovic made his debut for Zvezda.

An interesting match took place between Zrinski and Slovan (Bratislava), although the final winner was clear after the first match, won by the Slovaks 4:0. In the return match in Mostar, both teams scored four goals in the last 20 minutes for the final 2:2. Slovan's next opponent will be Kairat.

Today, 10 more matches from the second qualifying round in the Champions League are to be played. One of them is Ludogorets - Rijeka. A week ago, the team from Razgrad drew 0-0 in Croatia.
