Al-Nassr started the new season in the Saudi league with a bang, after beating Al-Taawon 5:0 away in the first round. Two of the team's new star signings - Joao Felix and Kingsley Coman, scored their first goals in the championship, and for the Frenchman it was his debut goal with the Al-Nassr team. Between them, Cristiano Ronaldo converted his penalty kick and now has 940 goals in his career. By the end, Joao Felix had scored twice more, completing his hat-trick.
In the seventh minute, Felix opened the scoring after receiving a pass from Angelo in the penalty area and, from a move, very well sending the ball into the far corner with his left foot. This was the first goal for the Portuguese in the Saudi championship. He had previously scored in the Super Cup semi-final against Al-Ittihad. The visitors missed several more good chances to double their lead before the break.
In the 54th minute, Cristiano Ronaldo scored from the penalty spot. Just a minute later, Kingsley Coman scored his first goal for Al-Nassr, after taking advantage of a mistake in the home team's defense and heading the ball past the advancing Al-Taawon goalkeeper from the edge of the penalty area. In the 67th minute, Joao Felix scored his second goal with a nice shot from the edge of the penalty area. In the 87th minute, Felix completed his hat-trick after receiving the ball after Cristiano Ronaldo's shot hit the crossbar.
