Barcelona midfielder Gavi could miss Spain's World Cup qualifiers in September due to an injury, Radio Catalunya reported.
The 21-year-old midfielder left the Catalans' training session earlier on Friday due to discomfort in his knee, BTA added. According to the source, the player will undergo a series of medical tests to more accurately assess his condition.

Gavi has been out of action for a long time due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and Barcelona are cautious, fearing a recurrence of the injury.

The coaching staff of the Spanish national team is also monitoring the situation, as the player has been called up for the World Cup qualifiers on September 4 against Bulgaria at the "Vasil Levski" stadium and three days later against Turkey in Konya.
