The team led by coach Ventsislav Simeonov prevailed over the Japanese in individual games with 25:20, 12:25, 25:17, 25:22 and secured a match for 9/10th place tomorrow. Bulgaria's opponent will be the winner of the match between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea. With the success, the Bulgarians took revenge for the dramatic loss to Japan with a 2:3 game in the preliminary group.
Jasmin Velichkov was above everyone for the victory with 24 points. Captain Alexander Kandev added 11 points.
