Ukrainian "Neptune" missiles have hit Russia more than 50 times over the past year, but this is not always reported. This was stated by the spokesman for the Naval Forces (NVS) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Dmytro Pletenchuk on the air of Den.LIVE.
"Our "Neptune" is really great on the other side, and not in vain. Last year - more than 50 hits,“ he notes.
According to Pletenchuk, information on social networks about the successful use of Ukrainian missile systems usually appears when the case gains significant publicity.
He also added that the combat use of “Neptune“ has demonstrated successful results. The Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is the only user of this system.
The use of Neptune missiles
At the end of September, the “Neptune“ missiles hit the “Electrodetal“ plant, located in the Bryansk region of Russia. It specializes in the production of electrical connectors and connectors - essential elements for military equipment.
According to experts, it is likely that the usual version of the Neptun missile, designed to hit ground targets, was used to hit the target, and not the "long" version with a radius of up to 1,000 km. Karachev is located approximately 120 km from the border with Ukraine, so the standard configuration of the missile is quite suitable for such a task.
