Fragile Peace! The Israeli army is preparing for a partial withdrawal from Gaza

The Israeli forces announced today that they have begun operational preparations for a partial withdrawal of their troops from the Gaza Strip, as part of the ceasefire agreement with Hamas, The Guardian reports, Focus writes.

The army statement said that the withdrawal was in accordance with the directives of the political echelon and the assessment of the situation, and that the troops are preparing to move to "adjusted deployment lines in the near future".

The Israeli army command added that its troops will continue to be present in the region, in case of possible operational scenarios during the implementation of the agreement.
