The Chairman of the Baalbek-Hermel Constituency and MP from the Hezbollah "Loyalty to the Resistance" parliamentary group, Hussein Hajj Hassan, said that Lebanon is currently facing a strong intimidation campaign organized by the "Zionist enemy, the arrogant American administration, and some European, Arab, and Lebanese circles," the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported, quoted by BTA.
During a memorial ceremony at the "Imam as-Sadiq" complex in the "Hay as-Selom" neighborhood, he said the aim was to intimidate and pressure state institutions, officials and the resistance to force them to back down.
He warned that the Israeli enemy, driven by its "inherent cruelty and lawlessness", could resort to any reckless action.
Hajj Hassan also criticized the US administration, mentioning US President Donald Trump by name and quoting a US Democratic senator who recently described him as "reckless and cruel".
He stressed the need for stronger national unity because internal divisions are Lebanon's greatest weakness in the face of external threats. "When there is aggression, division should not be an option", he concluded.
