Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet at 5:00 p.m. (Moscow time) today in the Kremlin with US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, Reuters reported, BTA reported.
The US delegation will be accompanied by US interpreters at the meeting with Putin, Peskov added. Witkoff has previously been criticized for relying on a Kremlin-provided translator.
Putin, Witkoff and Kushner are expected to discuss possible ways to end the war in Ukraine, Reuters notes.
Russian President Vladimir Putin's envoy Kirill Dmitriev will meet with U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff in Moscow on Monday, Reuters reported earlier today.
Dmitriev and Witkoff have met many times in Russia and the United States, discussing peace plans for Ukraine and future investment opportunities for both countries.
Witkoff, as well as the U.S. president's son-in-law Jared Kushner, are expected to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday to discuss a possible way to end Europe's deadliest conflict since World War II, Reuters notes.
