A plane on the Pristina - Istanbul route left the taxiway after landing at Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen Airport and was stopped at the end of the runway, the Koha Ditore newspaper reported, citing a statement from the Kosovo Embassy in Ankara, BTA reported.
According to official information, all passengers were evacuated without problems and there were no injuries.
The airline "AJet" said that the plane landed normally, but during the taxiway movement it went out on soft terrain due to heavy rains.
The incident led to the temporary suspension of the use of runway at Istanbul Airport, causing delays of up to 60 minutes for both departing and arriving flights, Turkish "Halk TV" reported. The plane was safely removed from the scene.
