Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that he had discussed plans for the reconstruction of Ukraine with US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant and other senior representatives of the US government, Reuters reported, BTA reported.
Along with Zelensky, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko also participated in the discussions, and on the American side, US President Donald Trump's son-in-law - Jared Kushner, and the managing director of the multinational investment company "BlackRock" Larry Fink.
"The principles of the economic document are completely clear and we fully agree with the American side", Zelensky said.
The Ukrainian president said later today that he had discussed with the Ukrainian parliament legal and other issues related to the possibility of holding elections and called on other countries, including the United States, not to exert pressure on this issue.
"If our partners, including our key partner in Washington, are talking so much and so specifically about elections in Ukraine under martial law, then we must give legitimate Ukrainian answers to every question and every doubt. It is not easy, but pressure on this issue is definitely not what we need," Zelensky stressed in his evening video address.
