US Secretary of State Marco Rubio's speech at the Munich Security Conference allayed Europe's concerns about transatlantic relations, Czech President Petr Pavel told reporters.
„US Secretary of State Marco Rubio's speech at the conference allayed serious concerns that European politicians have had recently“, the Czech leader noted.
„The criticism of Europe in Rubio's speech remained, but became much more constructive. Rubio made it clear that the United States and Europe share the same strategic goals, history and traditions.
According to the Czech president, Rubio has managed to calm concerns among the United States' European allies about the development of transatlantic relations that were felt even before his speech in Munich.
