Russian troops have launched a "massive strike" on military-industrial and energy facilities in Ukraine, the Russian Defense Ministry said, as quoted by TASS.
This comes as the two sides prepare to resume peace talks in Geneva, Reuters notes.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia had attacked Ukraine overnight with 396 drones and 29 missiles. The Ukrainian military shot down 25 of the missiles and 367 drones. Four ballistic missiles and 18 drones hit 13 different targets in Ukraine.
No news should be expected today from the Geneva talks on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, as the work is planned to continue tomorrow, Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for the Russian president, said at a briefing, TASS reported.
"I don't think that news should be expected today, because, as you know, the work is planned to continue tomorrow," the Kremlin representative noted.
The talks are being held behind closed doors and the media are not allowed to access them.
