The British Metropolitan Police have launched an internal investigation after a member of London Mayor Sadiq Khan's security guard left a bag full of firearms on the street, Sky News reported.
A passerby reported the discovery outside the mayor's home in south London. The bag contained a Heckler & Koch submachine gun, a Glock pistol, a Taser stun gun and ammunition. Law enforcement confirmed the incident, which took place on March 31, saying that “officers arrived on the scene within seven minutes of the police call and safely recovered the items“.
