An air alert was declared early this morning in Romania due to another drone attack in the area of the border with Ukraine, the Romanian Ministry of National Defense reports.
The authorities issued a warning to the population in the eastern Tulcea county via the Ro-Alert system. The message was sent at 03:48 local (and Bulgarian) time.
„In the early hours of April 14, Russian forces resumed drone attacks against civilian and infrastructure targets in Ukraine, near the river border with Romania, in Tulcea county. Two F-16 fighter jets took off from the 86th air base in Fetești. "No violations were detected in the national airspace," the source said. The air alert was lifted at 4:45 a.m. The Ministry of National Defense forces remain vigilant, maintaining the necessary surveillance and coordination measures to protect the population and the national territory, the ministry said.
