European Council President Antonio Costa condemned the latest deadly Russian strikes in Ukraine, calling on Moscow to stop deliberately sowing terror among civilians, Agence France-Presse reported, citing his post in Aix, BTA reported.
"Last night, Russia launched a new brutal attack on peaceful citizens in Ukraine", he said.
"The military aggression carried out by Russia against Ukraine has failed, and that is why it chooses to deliberately terrorize peaceful citizens", he added.
According to Ukrainian authorities, at least 16 people were killed in Ukraine overnight in Russian strikes, including nine in Odessa, four in the capital Kiev and three in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
