Residents of 8 Ukrainian regions remain without electricity at this time due to Russian attacks on energy infrastructure, Ukrinform reports, citing a Facebook post by “Ukrenergo“ -the state operator of the electricity transmission network in Ukraine, BTA reported.
“Following the massive attack with missiles and drones, as well as artillery shelling of energy infrastructure in front-line areas, consumers remain without electricity in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Odessa, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv and Kyiv regions. Emergency teams have already begun restoration work in places where security conditions allow. "Energy workers are doing everything they can to restore the equipment damaged by the enemy to service as soon as possible," the publication states.
"Please limit the use of powerful electrical appliances between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.," Ukrenergo added.
The southern Ukrainian city of Nikolaev and several other towns in the region were left without electricity after a morning Russian attack on energy infrastructure, local authorities said today, as quoted by Reuters.
The city of Kherson, located in the neighboring region, was also left without power, a local official said, adding that the cause of the outage was currently under investigation.
