China demanded the surrender of Ukraine - 1

China has made a strange statement about the war, effectively calling on Ukraine to give up 1/5 of its territories and capitulate, according to Ukrainian media.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said that Ukraine and Russia should negotiate and “there should be no winners and losers”.

According to him, on the issue of the “Ukrainian crisis” Beijing's position is consistent, clear and transparent. “There is a risk of further aggravation and escalation of the crisis, so efforts should be made to end the conflict through negotiations, not through war. There must be peace”, said the diplomat.

He said China “will continue to play a constructive role to this end”. “China is neither the one who created the conflict, nor is it a party to it, and has never provided any side with lethal weapons or equipment,”, Wang Wenbin said.

By admitting that Ukraine should not be victorious at Russia's expense (which means liberating Crimea and all other occupied lands), China is once again showing that it is siding with the Kremlin in this war. Beijing benefits from Moscow annexing foreign lands because it means that any aggression against Taiwan will also go unpunished.

Russia has made it clear that if there are "negotiations" now, it will not accept the Ukrainian peace formula, according to which the Russian army must withdraw from all occupied lands, or about one-fifth of the territory of Ukraine. Moscow says it will not withdraw its troops and Kiev and Western countries must accept "realities" at the front.
