US Central Command reported that more than 569 tons of humanitarian aid have been delivered so far during the interim port near Gaza, Reuters reported, BTA reported.
Aid shipments began arriving at the US-built port on Friday, amid growing pressure from the international community on Israel to allow more humanitarian supplies into the besieged Palestinian enclave.
The UN said 10 trucks of food aid were received Friday at the World Food Program warehouse in Deir el-Balah in Gaza. On Saturday, however, only five trucks reached the warehouse. Eleven others were emptied by Palestinians before reaching their destination.
